700 Runners, One Spirit: IPEKA RUN2RISE 2026
What can a five-kilometer run teach us beyond reaching the finish line? At IPEKA Christian School Grand Wisata, every step can become an opportunity to build character, strengthen relationships, and embrace a healthier lifestyle. This spirit came to life through IPEKA RUN 2026: RUN2RISE, the school’s first-ever 5K Fun Run, held on August 8, 2026, in Bekasi, bringing together approximately 700 participants.
Carrying the theme RUN2RISE, the event celebrated the determination to keep growing, overcome challenges, and rise stronger together. More than a sporting event, it reflected IPEKA’s commitment to holistic education, where learning extends beyond academic achievement to include physical well-being, character development, and meaningful community engagement.
For students, the learning experience began long before the starting line. Teachers, staff, and students worked collaboratively to prepare the event, allowing students involved in the organizing committee to gain hands-on experience in leadership, communication, teamwork, and event management. These practical responsibilities demonstrated that valuable life lessons can emerge outside the classroom.
As a Christian school, IPEKA believes that education should nurture students academically, spiritually, physically, and socially. Through RUN2RISE, values such as discipline, perseverance, sportsmanship, and responsibility became part of a shared experience.
The event also brought together families, alumni, running communities, and the wider public. Starting and finishing at IPEKA Grand Wisata’s school field, the five-kilometer route encouraged participants to enjoy the journey while celebrating the spirit of togetherness. Awards were presented to the three fastest runners in both the men’s and women’s categories.
Beyond the run, participants enjoyed a Bazaar & Food Festival featuring local businesses, student performances from Kindergarten through Senior High School, educational booths, and basic health screenings with healthcare partners. These activities created opportunities for the school and surrounding community to connect.
Held alongside the event, IPEKA Grand Wisata’s Open House welcomed families interested in learning more about its educational programs, school environment, and Christ-centered values. The school is currently welcoming applications for the 2027/2028 academic year across all educational levels.
Ultimately, IPEKA RUN 2026 was about more than distance or speed. It was about taking meaningful steps toward healthier habits, stronger character, and deeper connections.
Because every step forward is an opportunity to grow, and every journey becomes more meaningful when we rise together.
