Big Wins, Bigger Dreams: IPEKA at OSN 2026
Behind every achievement lies a journey of curiosity, dedication, and perseverance. At IPEKA Christian School, students are encouraged to explore their potential, embrace challenges, and keep growing through meaningful learning experiences. This spirit was reflected in the outstanding achievements of IPEKA students at the 2026 National Science Olympiad (Olimpiade Sains Nasional or OSN).
IPEKA proudly celebrates four students who earned recognition in the national competition, demonstrating their commitment to academic excellence and their passion for learning.
In Mathematics, Elmer Thomas Xu from IPEKA Balikpapan Junior High, Dazle David Toalu from IPEKA BSD Junior High, and Qays Nicanor Manik from IPEKA Puri Junior High each received a silver medal. Their achievements reflect the dedication required to tackle challenging mathematical problems, think logically, and approach complex questions with persistence.
In Science, Aldenly Charistheas Kan from IPEKA Puri Junior High earned an Honorable Mention, marking another proud achievement for the IPEKA community. This recognition celebrates his effort and ability to engage with scientific concepts through curiosity and critical thinking.
The National Science Olympiad provides students with opportunities to deepen their knowledge, test their abilities, and learn to approach unfamiliar problems with confidence. Preparing for a competition of this level requires more than understanding subject matter; it also calls for discipline, resilience, and a willingness to learn from every challenge.
As a Christian school, IPEKA believes that education should nurture both academic potential and personal character. Achievements like these are meaningful not only because of the medals or distinctions earned, but also because of the learning process behind them. Students are encouraged to develop their God-given talents, pursue knowledge with integrity, and use their abilities with purpose.
These accomplishments also reflect the support of teachers who guide students through their learning journeys and the encouragement of families who help them persevere. Together, they create an environment where curiosity is nurtured, and students are inspired to reach beyond what they thought possible.
Congratulations to Elmer, Dazle, Qays, and Aldenly on their achievements at OSN 2026! May this milestone inspire them to keep asking questions, discovering new possibilities, and pursuing their goals with confidence.
Every medal tells a story of effort. Every challenge opens a door to growth. And every achievement is a reason to keep reaching higher.
