IPEKA BALIKPAPAN has made another achievement in the national competition. Sonia Alvina Salim, a student from SMPK IPEKA BALIKPAPAN won a Silver Medal in the National Student Science Olympiad (OSSN) for English at the National Level organized by Garuda Sains Indonesia (GSI).
The National Student Science Olympiad is an olympics organized by Garuda Sains Indonesia (GSI). This Olympics was held and participated by various junior and senior high schools throughout Indonesia independently and online. There are many fields that can be followed, starting from Mathematics, English, Social Sciences, and so on. Participants must register through the official website available to take part in the Olympics. Sonia had to make a selection at the provincial level (East Kalimantan), before finally qualifying and competing at the national level. This Olympics was attended by thousands of participants from all over Indonesia and the winner was determined by the jury taking into account all the results and scores of all participants, as well as the judges' assessment during the Olympics.
In addition to the National Student Science Olympiad, Sonia won a Gold Medal in the field of English at the National level in the Olympic League. The Olympic League is an annual olympics that can be participated in by anyone with various fields being contested such as Indonesian, English, Social Sciences, Mathematics, and so on. Every participant who takes part in the Olympics has the opportunity to achieve achievements at the National level and also hone their academic abilities.
Finally, Sonia also won a Gold Medal in the field of English at the National level at the National Grand Science Olympiad organized virtually by the Indonesian Achievement Foundation. In this Olympics, Sonia immediately entered the National level and competed with hundreds of other participants from all over Indonesia.
