Many students, especially 12th grade students, often feel confused when they are going to pursue higher education. Choosing the right university with the right major is not an easy thing. Before making decisions about further education, it is important for students to be equipped in advance with information about the university to be aimed at.
In order to equip students with information about higher education and encourage them to explore their talents, interests, and personality to find suitable and suitable majors, as well as to equip students with information about scholarships or benefits, IPEKA Christian Schools hold a Virtual University Fair on 31 August 2020 - 2 October 2020 with a total of 101 universities from within and outside the country joining this event.
In addition to equipping students with the information, the Virtual University fair also aims to provide information about scholarships or other benefits that may be accepted if you are enrolled in one of the universities in collaboration with the Christian Schools IPEKA.
In this event, participating universities provide information through presentations related to superior faculties, university strengths, scholarships awarded, and also provide time for consultations if students are interested in asking further questions. In addition, IPEKA Christian School alumni were invited to share sessions to share about their chosen field of science or university, how the admission process at certain state universities, information on tuition fees, and how campus life is there.
In addition to information about universities, students are also provided with sharing about the professions that alumni are currently working on, this will give them insight into the professions they can work on after they finish higher education.
Information related to State Universities or PTN was also presented in sessions with alumni who are currently studying at PTN, including alumni from the Bandung Institute of Technology, University of Indonesia, University of Indonesia International, Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Padjajaran University, Gadjah University Mada, Gadjah Mada International University, Diponegoro University, Airlangga University, and Brawijaya University. The alumni presented information related to their PTN, how their story got into that PTN, the major they chose, as well as organizational activities there.
The interesting thing through the Virtual University Fair this time is that students find it easier to get various information about existing universities and it is easier to get benefits such as free forms from universities, scholarships that are distributed to students.
