SKIPIJAM is more than an annual event—it is a long-standing tradition of collaboration, creativity, and character-building at IPEKA Puri, a Christian school committed to nurturing young leaders with integrity and faith. For over a decade, IPEKA Puri has carried this legacy forward through various formats, from friendship nights and campfires to performances and community events. This year, SKIPIJAM XVII carries the theme “LUMINARIS,” a celebration of students shining their light and bringing positive impact to those around them.
Inspired by the word “luminary,” meaning an object that gives light, the theme represents the hope that students of IPEKA Puri will become individuals who bring brightness to the world. Grounded in the biblical truth from John 8:12 and Hebrews 13:16, LUMINARIS encourages students to serve others, love their community, and use their God-given talents meaningfully. The supporting concept of outer space symbolises limitless potential—reflecting the idea that students’ dreams, creativity, and abilities are vast and boundless.
Through SKIPIJAM, students develop essential values such as empathy, teamwork, initiative, responsibility, discipline, resilience, generosity, and care for others. These values are strengthened through a wide range of programs crafted to engage both students and the broader community. SKIPICUP, one of the major events, provides a platform for academic and non-academic competitions such as band performances, modern dance, MUN, and business plan contests. This interschool competition welcomes participants from SMP and SMA, offering a meaningful space for talent discovery.
Workshops also play an important role in equipping students with real-world knowledge. Topics range from self-leadership and skincare to investing and university preparation, providing students with relevant insights for both personal growth and future readiness.
A defining feature of SKIPIJAM at this Christian school is its impactful social service initiatives. Through “Lights in Action,” students distribute essential groceries at affordable prices to families in need. “Trash to Treasure” encourages environmental stewardship by turning collected plastic waste into digital rewards. “LumiHope” offers free medical check-ups in partnership with local hospitals, while “Shooting Stars” spreads encouragement through uplifting messages attached to snacks. The “Land of Growth” program supports children in Muara Angke with workshops and a reading garden that promotes creativity and learning.
As the culmination of all efforts, SKIPI Food Bazaar and Friendship Night bring the community together in joyful celebration. Friendship Night features musical performances, collaborative showcases through ISCO, and concludes with a special guest appearance by Bernadya.
