One of the main factors in the quality of education is the teacher. They are at the forefront of education and are at the forefront of creating quality human resources.
Believing this, in order to equip and develop teacher competencies, IPEKA Christian Schools held a Professional Development Day for teachers and leaders to be held virtually on January 7- 8, 2021.

The first day of Professional Development Day was specially held for IPEKA Christian School leaders. In accordance with the quote from John Maxwell "Everybody wins when leaders get better", strong and healthy leadership will produce a strong and healthy organization too. With the theme You Are a Great Leader, the leaders received training from Dr. Pramudianto, M.Min., M.M.
The Teacher Professional Development day two began with a Plenary Session from Rev. Yohanes Adrie Hartopo,Ph.D. Through this session the teachers are prepared spiritually to be able to serve the students whom God has entrusted, and serve through our profession. Rev. Yohanes Adrie reminds us that “God places us as a calling to serve, not just a profession. Whatever the type of our work, we are commanded to love God through our neighbors with the gifts that God has given. "
After the Plenary Session, teachers are facilitated with deeper debriefing, where academically they can enrich themselves to hone and improve the quality of teaching by participating in professional development classes designed to meet the needs of each teacher and division.
The teachers attend small classes according to their chosen topic, including: Basic Counseling for Young Kids, Coaching Skills for Teachers, Enhancing Teacher's Skills of Educational Technology, Effective Teacher for the Digital Era, Basic Counseling to Nurture Young Learners, Developing Teens Mind, to training topics that can improve teachers 'abilities in online learning including Collaborative Strategies for Online Learning Teaching, Improving students' 5C skills during Distance Learning, Engaging Distance Learning, to Developing Students Engagement during Distance Learning.

The teachers enthusiastically participated in the Professional Development day. Through classes divided according to topics, they have the opportunity to share experiences and discuss intensively about their areas of concern.
At the end of a professional development day, teachers have a lot of insights and ideas that can help them become more effective educators. In accordance with the core values held by IPEKA Christian Schools, namely Lifelong Learners, teachers at IPEKA Christian Schools are also equipped to continue learning, hone skills, and develop themselves. We continue to be committed to providing the best Christian education for students that God has entrusted.
