Signing Collaboration Agreement: IPEKA Christian School and Handong Global University

IPEKA Christian School and Handong Global University signed a cooperation agreement at IPEKA BSD on November 23, 2023. The signing was done by Rev. Handojo, President Director of IPEKA Christian School, and Prof. Do-Soung Choi, President of Handong Global University (HGU).

Handong Global University, situated in Pohang, South Korea, is a Christian university with a four-year academic program. Boasting a diverse student and faculty body hailing from over 50 nations, the university offers an ideal global community where individuals can immerse themselves in cultural diversity, fostering the development of global competence. Handong Global University is dedicated to cultivating leaders who can make a positive impact on the world by prioritizing both academic excellence and comprehensive education grounded in Christian faith. Functioning as a Christian institution of higher learning, Handong Global University aspires to serve as a model 'glocal' university, embodying the values of love, wisdom, and creativity as it extends its influence to both local communities and the broader global landscape.

The agreement encompasses a multifaceted collaboration, aiming to enhance the educational experience for students through diverse initiatives. Student exchanges will facilitate cross-cultural interactions, broadening perspectives and fostering a global mindset. The University Pathway Program ensures a seamless transition from secondary to tertiary education, offering students a well-defined academic journey. Scholarships signify a commitment to supporting talented individuals, and providing financial assistance for academic pursuits. Furthermore, the organization of seminars and workshops for both students and teachers underscores a dedication to continuous learning, offering a platform to exchange knowledge, insights, and innovative teaching methodologies. In addition, the two also collaborated in establishing the King Sejong Institute to promote Korean language and culture in Indonesia, which was inaugurated through a Grand Opening on the same day.
