SMAK IPEKA PURI Brings Back SKIPI JAM “Reborn: The New Chapter”

For more than a decade, SKIPI JAM has been held in different and unique themes and events from year to year. SKIPI JAM has become the most awaited event by the students. Various new and creative programs and events have been prepared by the SKIPI JAM committee and this year is the first event to be held online.

This year, SMAK IPEKA PURI held SKIPI JAM with the theme “Reborn” which means regenerating a new spirit to keep moving forward after going through various unfavorable bad circumstances, including the COVID-19 pandemic. The Principal of SMAK IPEKA PURI, Vivianti Kristanto Jacob said, “The real fruit of education is not only producing students who excel academically but building good and virtuous characters. In particular, there are 13 values to be instilled in SMAK IPEKA PURI students, namely, Togetherness, Influential, Caring, Initiative, Responsibility, Solidarity, Empathy, Respect, Creativity, Discipline, Teamwork, Nationalism, and Sincerity.”

This time, SKIPI JAM was held from April 2022 and the peak of the event was on May 13, 2022. The highlight of the SKIPI JAM event can be watched on the SKIPIJAM REBORN Youtube channel for free. This event will feature various school bands, musical performances, and traditional Indonesian dances performed by students of SMAK IPEKA PURI. In addition, SKIPI JAM also presents musicians who are already familiar to the public, namely Eclat Story and Chris Andrian.

The Head Committee of the SKIPIJAM “REBORN”, Michael Jonathan said, “Behind the hectic living conditions due to the pandemic, SKIPI JAM is back with the theme "REBORN" and the tagline "The New Chapter". SKIPI JAM must adapt to the uncertainty of the situation so that it can embrace all Indonesian people through works that carry the theme of diversity and also support the rise of the creative industry of Indonesian youth.”

Through SKIPIJAM "REBORN", all parties at SMAK IPEKA PURI hope that this event can rebuild the spirit of the students who may have faded due to the COVID-19 pandemic and have the courage to become stronger individuals.
